Oracle accepts submissions nationally and internationally in a variety of genres of creative writing and visual art. Feel free to view past issues online in our archive

Published since 2003, Oracle is supported by the University of South Alabama Student Government Association, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Departments of English and Visual Arts, and it is available at no charge to students, faculty, and staff. The journal is student-run and uses a blind-review process with multiple evaluations of all submissions.

Maximum of three (3) submissions. 200 lines or less. 12-point, Times New Roman or Times typeface. Format your work as you wish it to be read. Though we will be publishing poetry of any kind, we are particularly interested in hybrid works, concrete poetry, and forms we’ve never seen before.

We are looking for the following categories: Ceramics, Painting, Illustration, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Drawing, and Glass. 

Maximum of three (3) pieces in each category per artist.

Make sure your work is titled. Submit all work in CMYK, 300 dpi, JPEG format, and title each file “[Last Name]_[Title of Work].”
